St. Kitts, officially known as Saint Christopher Island, is one of the two main islands that make up the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. It is located in the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea.
Marriott International is a multinational hospitality company that operates a broad portfolio of hotels, resorts, and related services. It is one of the largest and most well-known hotel chains in the world. Marriott’s portfolio includes a range of brands that cater to various market segments and preferences, from luxury to budget accommodations.
Accommodations and Amenities at Marriott Beach Club
The St. Kitt’s Marriott Beach Club is adjacent to the Marriot Resort & The Royal Beach Casino. The Beach Club option is a bit different than the resort. The rooms are available for rent or for ownership through a timeshare. The resort is all connected whereas the Beach Club is multiple small clusters of rooms. The beach club offers 3 types of rooms: 3 bedroom villa, 2 bedroom villa with 1 balcony, and a 2 bedroom villa with 2 balconies. Each villa has a full kitchen.
Amenities included:
- Outdoor games (giant chess, shuffleboard, etc.)
- 3 pools
- 7 restaurants
- Spa
- Fitness Center
- Casino – this is the only place in the resort with an ATM
Our Review
We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with 2 balconies. Check out the video above for the room tour. The room was amazing! The full size kitchen was great for making our meals each day. I loved the huge tub in the bathroom as well. We spent each morning drinking coffee on the balcony. The pool was a great way to end our evenings when we were ready to stay at the resort for the night. They gave us a parking spot right by the lobby for the ATV we rented.
One of the first nights we got pizza from the Pizza Shack. It was delicious! They offered a stretching class that we took one morning. It was a gentle stretch class and was a good way to wake up. A pro of the villa is that housekeeping still comes by. I also got to go to the casino for the first time at the resort. Sadly, we didn’t win anything but it was a fun atmosphere.
The beach was often empty. We got up early and took sunrise photos one morning on the beach. There was quite a bit of seaweed and that was a deterrent for us.
The Good and The Bad
A big pro we found of this resort was the location. We were within walking distance of tons of restaurants and a couple of beaches. This was perfect because after exploring for the day, we could pop back to the resort to clean up then just walk to dinner. It is also across the street from a grocery store. We stopped by the first night and grabbed some snacks and breakfast items. This was great because it was easy to get the groceries back to the resort without having a car.
The biggest con was the seaweed on the beach. Though this isn’t necessarily the resorts fault, it still effected our enjoyment of the resort. We ended up going to the other side of the island multiple days for the other beaches to avoid the seaweed.
Overall, we liked this resort a lot and would recommend it!
