One of the most unique areas in Singapore is Haji Lane, also referred to as Arab Street. Along with tons of yummy restaurants, the area is vibrant and full of life. Here you can find multiple unique vintage shops. They have fabric stores, colorful and bright lamp shops, and fun shops like a typewriter bar! The street art is intricate and stunningly lively. It is easy to spend a couple of hours here to explore the shops and grab a bite to eat. This area is very eccentric and unique.

The most luxurious shopping center is located at Marina Bay Sands. From the moment you walk into this massive mall you are provided with a variety of shops and activities to choose from. Inside there is Louboutin, Coach, Michael Kors, and Fendi. They also have shops like Sephora and Zara. Once you have exhausted yourself from shopping take a peek at these fun activities they offer throughout the area:

  • Sampan Boat ride in the canal that flows through the center of the mall.
  • Digital Light Canvas, an interactive art experience for kids.
  • SkyPark Observation Deck (***this requires tickets in advance, we recommend getting drinks at one of the restaurants instead since you are paying for a drink and view for the same price as the entrance to just the view).
  • ArtScience Museum, they have different exhibitions and was one of our favorite things we did! *note it is on the more expensive side of things but totally worth it.
  • Spectra Light Show, this is a free light show that happens every evening and can be watched from just outside the mall, across the river, or take a river cruise.

This is an area that you could easily spend at least half a day visiting. It’s recommended to head over for lunch and then shop and do activities until the evening light show!
