Interactive activities in Singapore are great for those who like a touch of adventure even when visiting a huge city. We often refer to ourselves as travellers rather than vacationers. Mainly because we don’t know how to sit still and prefer to explore as much as possible. Singapore is a huge city full of skyscrapers and shopping. These are the best activities if you are looking for a unique experience that adults and kids alike will love. Let that inner child play and have fun at these interactive activities!
ArtScience Museum Activities

My favorite indoor activity we did while in the city! Located at the Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience museum is a great way to get out of the heat and let the inner child play. Periodically they change out the exhibitions so it is possible to have a completely different experience each time you visit. As you go through the museum, you will interact with different areas of the room. Our favorites were the room where you can move the lights on the wall, color and fly your own plane on the walls, the climbing area, and dangling light illusion room. Easily one of our favorite activities in Singapore!
There is a separate cost if you choose to do both exhibitions. We chose to do the second one and we were not as impressed. It was related to space/time/sci-fi books, movies, and art. We thought we would really enjoy it but a lot of it was very ambiguous. Specifically the odd movie area that had two screens showing different aspects of the same movie but we weren’t really sure what any of it had to do with. This exhibition changes though so check into it before making your choice of including it in your ticket price.
Address: 6 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018974
Cost: $20-46 depending on which exhibitions are chosen

Gardens by the Bay Activities

This is an area that you can easily spend a full day exploring and enjoying. The Gardens by the Bay consists of a variety of activities that are suitable for everyone! It is best known for being the location of the Supergrove Trees. People often don’t realize this is the same location as the Cloud Forest. Here is a quick list of activities to do in this area!
- Supergrove Trees – OCBC Skyway walk ($10), Supertree Observatory ($10), and light show at night (free).
- Multiple outdoor garden areas – free entry
- Floral Fantasy indoor garden – $10
- Flower Dome indoor garden – $10
- Cloud Forest indoor experience – $30

When visiting it is possible to get tickets for a cheaper price if you plan to visit multiple of the exhibitions. When we visited they had an Avatar experience at the Cloud Forest that included turn yourself into an Avatar, fire dancing with interactive lights on the walls, and flying your own banshee. If you plan to visit most of the different areas it can easily take half a day if not more. The great part is they have small snack areas and it is located centrally in the city.
I’m not going to add the cost because it is super dependent on which activities you want to do and how many people are in your family. We spent over $100 for the two of us between the different activities.

Time: 6+ hours, we recommend going during the day and then coming back in the evening for the free light show at the Supergrove Trees. We do love a free activity in Singapore!
Marina Bay Sands in Singapore

Once you are tired of being outside in the heat, head over to Marina Bay Sands. Inside is a massive shopping center with multiple food areas. On the lower level you will find the canal where you can ride a Sampan boat inside! There is also a fun interactive Digital Light Canvas area for kids. On the roof you can find the observation sky deck. This does require a ticket ahead of time. ***Hot tip: visit one of the restaurants on the roof instead for a quick drink at the bar. It will cost the same as an entrance ticket and you get a drink with your view!***
Technically the ArtScience Museum is considered to be a part of Marina Bay Sands. I separated them because it is easily possible to go to one and not the other since they are in two separate buildings. Once again I’m not adding cost because it is super dependent on what you choose to do during your visit here (especially if you like to shop at luxury stores). This is also a hotel so it is possible to stay here if you are in the mood to splurge.

Funan Shopping Center

Ever been to a mall that you can go rock climbing in? Or one that you can ride your bicycle through? That’s the exact kind of shopping center that is Funan. Along with tons of places to eat and fun stores for all your shopping needs, you can get a bit active while there. Right in the center is the multi-level rock climbing area. The bike lane goes throughout a good portion of the mall as well. Tons of the shops are outdoor adventure stores so it is easy to aid the rest of your explorations as well!
